DRONANIA combines the tradition and know-how of producing traditional herbal medicines and dietary supplements. All our products are “made in Germany” and are produced with future-oriented equipment.
DRONANIA International:
From its long history, DRONANIA has added some natural product products to its current portfolio for export. Since 2004, in addition new products have been developed, licensed / registered and mainly placed in the international market. These include a herbal cough syrup (ivypan.eu), registered in Austria and the vitamin products of the Fluidpan series (Fluidpan.eu).
The high export ratio in 2016 (40%) reflects the importance of international contacts and distribution channels for self-developed products under private label. Exemplary are here the paramedical products of Dr. Kleinschrod herbal tablets series, distributed in Hungary by VOLMIX ltd. (Volmix.hu).
Our own products but also private label products from contract manufacturing are delivered to the Far East into China and Hong Kong. Business relations exist in the Middle East and the Magreb.
As DRONANIA products have no side effects but physiological significance, our herbal pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements are considered by experts worldwide to be future-oriented products. The modernized recipes which are based on a long tradition, take into account the very special requirements of different cultures, especially the Islamic world.

In 1919 Kleinschrod sold this collection of formulations to Theodor Droste. He founded the company DRONANIA in April 1920 in Bad Godesberg / Rhein. In 1978, the couple Dr. Ing. Hancken took over the company and moved it in 1979 to Bad Wörishofen with the company name “Heilmittel GmbH”.
In 1978 the scientific review of the safety, efficacy and quality of all registered pharmaceuticals began in Germany. In the absence of clinical studies, almost all marketing authorizations of herbal medicinal products derived from Kneipp were lost.
In 2004, the Munich doctors and pharmacist family Dr. Tittel (Dres. Tittel GbR) purchased the property and the buildings in Bad Wörishofen. The “DRONANIA Traditional Medicines from Bad Wörishofen GmbH” was newly founded (HRB 12179). The new business model: “Traditional medicines from Bad Wörishofen”. DRONANIA was integrated into the LAT Group (Graefelfing) and thus part of drug developments in the field of subcontracting. The operation site was completely rebuilt or renovated. It has been modernized to the requirements of GMP. The pharmaceutical machinery was completely renewed.
2011 ended the LAT Group. DRONANIA reverted to the original company philosophy of producing only herbal pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements. The company name was changed to DRONANIA pharmaceuticals GmbH. Today, the company has up to 35 employees and specializes in contract manufacturing and the development of herbal medicines and dietary supplements. Export quota: approx. 40%.

Currently all positions are filled. However, we are looking forward to initiative applications in the area of Business Development.
